XPeng MONA Series to Add Two New Models, Including First Touring

Takeaways
  • XPeng plans two new MONA models—D11 A-segment SUV and D11T Touring—to expand the lineup to at least five cars.
  • D11 likely targets ~100k RMB pricing, squeezing between M03 and L03 and risking model overlap.
  • D11T marks XPeng’s first Touring entry amid a booming Chinese shooting-brake market growing ~40% to ~250k units.

Yijian Auto reports that XPeng’s MONA series has planned two new models, internally codenamed D11 and D11T (Touring).

Together with the already-launched M03, the soon-to-be-officially-launched L03, and the upcoming L05, the XPeng MONA series will have a total of no fewer than five products.

MONA L03

Among them, the codenamed D11 is positioned as an A-segment SUV with a length of about 4.4 meters. Insiders revealed that the price of the D11 will be kept around 100k RMB (approximately $14711).

In terms of pricing strategy, D11, M03, and L03 may increase sequentially, but with small gaps. Since all are SUVs, the D11 is only 0.2 meters shorter than the L03 in length. How to differentiate the positioning of the D11 from the M03 and L03 will be a key challenge for XPeng.

The D11T station wagon, on the other hand, marks XPeng’s first foray into the Touring segment. It is understood that the most likely rivals for the MONA D11T are the Seagull 06DM Touring and the Lynk & Co 07GT, with the former starting at 109,800 RMB (about $16,100) and the latter just beginning pre-sales at 165,800 RMB (about $24,300).

According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the Chinese shooting brake market sold about 176,000 units in 2025, and is expected to grow to around 250k units in 2026, with an annual growth rate of about 40%.

Overall, the MONA series undertakes the core task of volume sales for the XPeng Group.

Data shows that in the first five months of 2026, XPeng Group delivered approximately 125,800 vehicles, of which the MONA M03 accounted for nearly 40%, with deliveries of about 48k units. At the MONA L03 pre-sale launch event, He Xiaopeng announced that the MONA M03 has been on sale for over 600 days, with cumulative deliveries of 280k units, averaging more than 13,000 units per month.

Currently, XPeng has deployed the Ultra SE version with 1,500 TOPS computing power to the 2026 MONA M03 and L03, and it is not ruled out that the strategy of “intelligence up, price down” will continue to be implemented in future MONA new products.

It is worth noting that with the rapid expansion of the MONA series product line, how to avoid overlapping positioning and internal friction between the MONA series and the G series and P series is a test that XPeng Motors faces.
