On June 19, Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of BYD Auto’s Ocean Network Sales Division, revealed the latest product roadmap.
The BYD Sealion 6 is confirmed for an official launch in late July, with pre-launch promotional activities starting as early as the end of this month. Additionally, Zhang stated that a facelifted midsize sedan (B-segment) will be released in August, though the specific model has not yet been disclosed.

The BYD Sealion 6 officially appeared on the MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) catalog in April, with both all-electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (DM-i) variants declared. Dimensions listed are 4810 x 1920 x 1675 mm with a 2820 mm wheelbase.

EV Version:
- Offers two RWD configurations: maximum power outputs of 170 kW or 180 kW.
- Also includes an AWD variant with front and rear motors rated at 110 kW and 180 kW maximum power respectively.
- Expected to provide multiple range options.
Plug-in Hybrid (DM-i) Version:
- Equipped with the DM-i system combining a 1.5L engine and a drive motor.
- 1.5L engine maximum power: 74 kW.
- Drive motor maximum power: 160 kW.

Smart Features:
The Sealion 6 is expected to feature the standard-fit “DiPilot-C Advanced Smart Driving Solution”. This system includes 29 sensors, such as triple front-view cameras and side/rear cameras. Official details on this aspect remain limited; final specifications are subject to the official release.
