BYD Sealion 06 interior features a dual-tone design with comfort-oriented amenities like a cabin fridge with heating and cooling.
Today, BYD released an interior preview video of the Sealion 06. The cabin design follows the styling language of BYD’s Ocean series, and the vehicle will officially launch on July 21.
The interior layout focuses on practicality. Like other Ocean models, the Sealion 06 uses flowing curves to evoke an ocean-inspired dynamic feel. The dual-tone color scheme—mixing light and dark shades—gives the cabin a more youthful look.
The video shows that the Sealion 06 uses a column shifter and is equipped with a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel with decorative stitching. The right-side stalk controls the “God’s Eye” intelligent driving system. Other features include ambient lighting throughout the cabin, wireless phone charging, and a cabin refrigerator with both cooling and heating capabilities. The fridge can store around four bottles and is temperature-adjustable via a digital knob behind the cupholders.
As a new mid-size SUV under the Ocean series, the Sealion 06 made its debut during the 2025 Auto Shanghai in April. It measures 4810mm in length, 1920mm in width, and 1675mm in height, with a 2820mm wheelbase. It targets the mid-size SUV segment, and its previously announced pre-sale price ranges from ¥160,000 to ¥200,000 ($22,400 to $28,000).
In terms of exterior, the Sealion 06 adopts the family-style design of the Ocean lineup. The front features split headlights for strong visual identity. The side profile is clean and fluid, with a full-length character line, semi-hidden door handles, and silver accents along the lower door trim.
For powertrains, the Sealion 06 will offer both plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions. The Sealion 06 DM-i will be powered by BYD’s fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system, delivering a combined range of up to 1,200km on a full tank and full charge. The Sealion 06 EV, built on the e-Platform 3.0, supports 800V ultra-fast charging and boasts a CLTC range exceeding 500km. Higher trims will also include the advanced DiSus-C intelligent suspension system.
As the successor to the BYD Song PLUS, the Sealion 06 will compete directly with rivals such as the Geely Xingyue L and Changan CS75 Plus following its launch.
