This afternoon, the refreshed Buick Electra E5 made its debut, offering three trim levels:
- 620km range Premium trim: CNY 169,900 ($23,630)
- 545km range Tech trim: CNY 159,900 ($22,239)
- 515km range Base trim: CNY 149,900 ($20,848)
The new Electra E5 is built on the Ultium 2.0 multi-drive platform and features comprehensive upgrades in design, performance, smart connectivity, and comfort – areas of key importance to consumers.

Design:
The new Electra E5 adopts Buick’s PURE Design language. The signature dual-wing LED headlights feature precision laser engraving and Evonik light guide technology. 18-inch or 19-inch multi-spoke wheels enhance performance. Sharp character lines define the rear, complemented by a full-width taillight and a three-section high-mounted stop light for a modern aesthetic.

Dimensions & Space:
Measuring 4892mm x 1905mm x 1683/1681mm with a 2954mm wheelbase, the vehicle offers generous interior space. A flat rear floor enhances comfort for all five occupants. It features wide-body ergonomic seats with floating headrests, and the rear seatbacks recline to an optimal 27-degree angle.

Officially, the cabin provides 31 storage compartments, and the trunk offers flexible cargo capacity ranging from 502L to 1658L.

Performance & Battery:
Leveraging the Ultium 2.0 platform, the E5 achieves breakthroughs in battery efficiency and safety. It is equipped with a 76.8 kWh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery, delivering a range of up to 620km (CLTC). Charging speed is improved by 30%; with 3C charging capability, a 10-minute charge can add approximately 210km of range.
Smart & Connected Features:
The Electra E5 comes standard with a segment-exclusive 30-inch curved 6K display running the latest V5.0 infotainment system. It supports CarPlay iOS26 for seamless phone-car integration and synchronization with the Amap (AutoNavi) navigation experience between mobile and vehicle. New additions include a tailgate opening safety alert and a 360° transparent chassis view. The eCruise Pro advanced driver-assistance system is also standard across all trims.
Chassis:
The vehicle features a five-link rear suspension paired with VMC (Vehicle Motion Control) intelligent chassis technology and a more resiliently tuned suspension, striking an excellent balance between comfort and sportiness.
At the launch event, Buick announced a lifetime warranty for the three core electric components (battery, motor, electric control) and pledged to offer a new vehicle replacement in case of spontaneous combustion.
