Today, the Data-Driven New Energy WeChat official account released the weekly sales ranking of new energy passenger vehicles for the period of June 16–22.
Compared to the previous week, six automakers surpassed the 10,000-unit mark, with Geely Galaxy entering the list for the first time at 10,500 units.
BYD retained the top spot with 83,400 units sold, representing a week-over-week growth of approximately 19%. While maintaining strong domestic performance, BYD continues to expand its international logistics network. On June 21, BYD delivered its fifth car carrier ship, “XI’AN”, which set sail fully loaded with 7,000 NEVs destined for the UK, Italy, Spain, and Belgium. The sixth vessel, “CHANGSHA”, is expected to enter service soon.
Tesla reported 13,800 units, dropping to fifth place this week. Interestingly, both the Xiaomi YU7 and XPeng G7—direct competitors to the Tesla Model Y—are set to launch soon, which may have led some potential buyers to hold off on purchases in anticipation.
According to internal data shared by auto blogger @万万_ECC, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) delivered a total of 12,518 vehicles this week. Its sub-brand AITO remained the core contributor with 10,878 units, broken down as follows: M9: 3,373 units, M8: 4,468 units, M7: 1,830 units, M5: 1,207 units.
Among the new energy startup brands: Leapmotor: 9,700 units, Li Auto: 8,900 units, XPeng: 8,500 units, Deepal: 5,600 units, NIO Group: 5,200 units (NIO: 3,250 units, ONVO: 1,450 units, Firefly: 470 units), Fangchengbao: 4,200 units. Overall, most emerging brands showed an upward sales trend. A special case this week was Xiaomi, which saw a slight dip to 4,600 units, likely due to the impending launch of the YU7, prompting many consumers to delay their purchase decisions.
As Q2 2025 draws to a close, a wave of highly anticipated NEV models is set to debut in Q3. Whether this will shake up the current weekly rankings remains to be seen—we’ll be closely tracking developments.
