The Xpeng X9 right-hand drive version was launched in Indonesia today.
On June 26, Xpeng announced the official launch of its flagship model, the Xpeng X9, in the Indonesian market, with a starting price of IDR 99 billion.
At the same time, its first overseas localized production project is also entering the countdown phase for production. The right-hand drive version of the Xpeng X9 will begin local production in Indonesia in July. This marks a significant milestone for Xpeng in completing the full manufacturing and delivery supply chain for its international expansion.

Currently, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles in the Indonesian market is under 2%, making early entry a strategic choice for Xpeng.
Since the beginning of this year, Xpeng has accelerated its international expansion. From January to May 2025, the company topped the overseas sales charts for Chinese new energy vehicle brands in Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, and six other countries. The Xpeng G6 and X9 have become the most popular Chinese models in the European mid-to-high-end all-electric mid-size SUV and large SUV markets.
As of June, Xpeng has entered more than 40 countries and regions worldwide. Xpeng’s Chairman, He Xiaopeng, previously stated that 2025 will be a year of accelerated expansion in overseas markets. The company is confident that the X9 will lead the APAC region’s high-end all-electric MPV market in sales this year.

In the first five months of 2025, Xpeng’s overseas sales in 18 countries surpassed 12,000 units, positioning the company with a significant competitive advantage among Chinese new energy vehicle brands venturing overseas.
Among these markets, Israel remains Xpeng’s largest overseas market, with sales reaching 3,650 units, a year-on-year increase of 259%. In Europe’s traditional electric vehicle markets, Norway and Denmark saw year-on-year growth of 194% and 74%, respectively. In Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, total sales exceeded 1,600 units, gradually opening up opportunities in the Southeast Asian market.
