Leapmotor is expected to launch the B10, a compact all-electric SUV, in overseas markets this September.
On August 8, Chinese EV maker Leapmotor held a naming and delivery ceremony in Shanghai with Italian shipping giant Grimaldi Group for the roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessel GRANDE TIANJIN.
This ship, now serving as a dedicated logistics carrier for Leapmotor, will transport more than 2,500 newly produced electric vehicles to Europe on its maiden voyage—marking a significant step in the company’s global expansion.
Grimaldi Group has been Leapmotor’s logistics partner since 2022, offering monthly Ro-Ro capacity of up to 22,500 car equivalent units (CEUs ) on routes from Asia to Europe.
At the event, Leapmotor International CEO Tianshu Xin stated that the company’s global footprint now spans over 30 countries and regions, with a sales and service network of more than 1,500 outlets worldwide and over 800,000 vehicles delivered to date.
It is worth noting that Leapmotor International is a joint venture established last year between Leapmotor and Stellantis, with its headquarters in Amsterdam. Stellantis is currently the largest external shareholder in the JV.
Leapmotor has seen rapid growth over the past year. Between January and July 2025, it sold 271,800 vehicles—up 149% year-on-year. In July alone, deliveries surpassed 50,000 units, marking the fifth consecutive month Leapmotor ranked first among China’s emerging EV brands.
Since launching its overseas sales efforts in 2024, Leapmotor’s current international offerings include the compact T03 city car and the C10 mid-size SUV, available in both all-electric and extended-range versions.
Looking ahead, the company plans to launch its first global model—the B10, a compact all-electric SUV—in overseas markets this September.
