ONVO L90’s first batch of delivery-ready vehicles exceeds 20,000 units, with the factory running at full capacity to accelerate production and deliveries.
On August 12, official data from ONVO showed that the ONVO L90 had delivered a total of 4,069 units within just ten days of its launch. This large six-seat SUV, described by NIO CEO William Li as a “strategic product,” is maintaining an average daily delivery rate of 400 units, demonstrating its competitiveness.
Last week (August 4–August 10), the ONVO L90 quickly rose to second place in the weekly sales ranking for mid-to-large SUVs.

The launch of the ONVO L90 ignited strong consumer enthusiasm. According to “NIO Official – Jinan Huashan,” over 20,000 vehicles were prepared for the first batch of deliveries. However, market response exceeded expectations, causing the backend system to crash multiple times. Notably, this is the first time NIO has publicly disclosed the scale of its first-batch deliveries.
To meet surging test drive demand, ONVO has expanded its nationwide test drive fleet from 600 to 1,000 vehicles, a 67% increase. Test drive cars now cover over 400 stores and city showrooms.

Recently, insurance registration figures for the ONVO L90 have been released. Compared to the high market enthusiasm and expectations, the growth in registration numbers appears not to have fully met market forecasts, sparking discussions on the delivery pace. Facing strong demand, ONVO stated that the factory is currently operating at full capacity, expediting production and stock preparation to accelerate deliveries.
As of press time, the delivery cycle for all three configurations of the ONVO L90 has been extended from 4–6 weeks on August 5 to 8–10 weeks.

Yesterday, ONVO officially introduced a limited-time purchase plan for a 60 kWh battery pack, allowing flexible switching with the 85 kWh version. The monthly rental fee is locked at RMB 599 ($83.86). This strategy targets urban commuting users and further lowers the purchase threshold by reducing battery capacity.
According to industry insider Sun Shaojun, large-order reservations for the model have reached nearly 40,000 units. If production ramp-up goes smoothly, ONVO aims to achieve monthly deliveries of 25,000 units in the fourth quarter, an important pillar for NIO’s break-even goal in that period.
Latest data shows that NIO delivered 6,100 units last week, with the ONVO brand accounting for 3,234 units. The ONVO L90 alone contributed 2,093 units, making up 65% of ONVO’s sales.
