Leapmotor’s 1 Millionth Vehicle Rolls Off Production Line

Leapmotor has become the second Chinese NEV startup to join the ranks of the ‘Million-unit Club’.

On September 25, Leapmotor announced the official rollout of its 1 millionth vehicle.

Reviewing the timeline for Leapmotor’s vehicle production: the first vehicle rolled off the line on June 6, 2019; the 100,000th vehicle on June 28, 2022; and the 500,000th vehicle on October 17, 2024.

It took Leapmotor only 343 days to jump from 500,000 to 1 million vehicles. Consequently, Leapmotor has become the second Chinese new energy vehicle startup to enter the “Million-unit Club.”

Leapmotor’s Path to 1 Million Units: Growth Timeline

The ‘one millionth milestone’ is a microcosm of Leapmotor’s strong growth in 2025. Entering 2025, Leapmotor has performed outstandingly in both sales and its global expansion business.

Data shows that from January to August 2025, Leapmotor’s cumulative deliveries exceeded 320,000 units. In August alone, it delivered 57,066 new vehicles, a year-over-year increase of over 88%. Its monthly sales have ranked first among new automakers for six consecutive months. Based on this strong performance, Leapmotor has raised its full-year sales target from an initial maximum of 600,000 units to 650,000 units.

More crucially, Leapmotor achieved its first semi-annual net profit turnaround in the first half of 2025, formally entering a development phase characterized by the simultaneous improvement of both scale and profitability.

The phased achievements of Leapmotor’s international expansion are equally notable. Data indicates that from January to August this year, cumulative deliveries in overseas markets exceeded 30,000 units. In August, it even surpassed BYD to top the German pure electric vehicle market.

Currently, Leapmotor has established nearly 700 retail outlets in over 30 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region, with over 640 of them located in the European market. As Leapmotor’s models are scheduled for localized production in Europe in 2026, its brand influence is expected to increase further.
