Li Auto Opens First Overseas Retail Center in Uzbekistan

Li Auto has designated 2025 as the “First Year of Its Global Strategy Implementation.”

On October 14, Li Auto announced the official opening of its first authorized overseas retail center in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The center will primarily sell three extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) models locally: the Li L9, Li L7, and Li L6.

Differing from its direct sales model in China, Li Auto currently adopts an authorized dealer model for its overseas sales. The company will provide official warranties for overseas customers who purchase vehicles through these authorized retail centers, along with professional maintenance and repair services, efficient distribution of genuine parts, technical support, and OTA updates.

A report from the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) in Uzbekistan showed significant market potential, with 28,800 electric vehicles sold in Uzbekistan in the first half of 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 62.6%.

According to the plan, retail centers in Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, and the capital, Astana, are also set to open in November this year.

In the second half of this year, Li Auto signed cooperation agreements with leading Uzbek dealer Control Auto and leading Kazakh dealers Allur and Doscar. Leveraging their mature channels and service systems, Li Auto aims to accelerate the construction of its service network in Central Asia.

Moreover, Li Auto has established R&D centers in Germany and the United States. The company confirms that its new models scheduled for launch in 2026 will proactively incorporate compliance with overseas regulations during development.

For global expansion, Li Auto will strategically focus on the Middle East, Central Asia, and European markets.
