By the end of 2026, the nationwide network of Chocolate swap stations will have surpassed 2,500 stations.
On October 28, CATL officially launched the first batch of eight Chocolate EVOGO battery swap stations in Nanjing.
According to the plan, Nanjing will have 48 stations in operation by the end of this year. Across the province, 142 Chocolate battery swap stations will be built by year-end, covering key cities including Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, and Changzhou. By the end of next year, all prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu Province will achieve full coverage of Chocolate battery swap stations, with the total number expected to exceed 300. Nationwide, the scale of stations is set to surpass 2,500.
As the first batch of operational vehicles in this collaboration, the new Changan Oshan 520 battery-swappable model has officially entered the Nanjing market. Paired with the Chocolate battery swap solution, this model enables an energy replenishment model characterized by “10 minutes to locate a station and 99 seconds to complete a battery swap.”
The delivery of the first 100 battery-swappable ride-hailing vehicles also marks the official beginning of the battery swap era for Nanjing’s ride-hailing industry.

While CATL accelerates its layout in the battery swap business, NIO, as a pioneer in this field, has also made significant progress.
On October 26, NIO officially achieved its 90 millionth battery swap service. Official data shows that it took 1,506 days from the 1st to the 10 millionth swap, while it took only 100 days to go from the 80 millionth to the 90 millionth swap.
As of October 26, 2025, NIO has cumulatively deployed 3,539 NIO powr swap stations nationwide, including 1,002 highway battery swap stations.

It is worth noting that in March of this year, NIO and CATL signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde, Fujian, marking the first time both parties broke down their closed battery swap systems.
According to the agreement, the two sides will collaborate on building a battery swap network covering all passenger vehicle models, unifying industry technical standards, and deepening capital and business cooperation. At the same time, CATL is advancing a strategic investment of up to 2.5 billion yuan (approximately $343 million) in NIO Energy.
