The Starlight family gains a new member in the Starlight 560, aimed squarely at the mainstream five-seat family SUV segment.
At the 2025 ASEAN International Auto Show, Wuling unveiled the Starlight 560, the first rugged-style SUV in the Starlight family, and simultaneously kicked off its global offline premiere. Positioned as a spacious five-seat family SUV, the model offers three powertrains — gasoline, plug-in hybrid and pure electric — across four trims, with an introductory price range of RMB 59,800–98,800 (~$8,300–13,700).

Specifically, the Starlight 560 lineup includes two gasoline variants — a 1.5T 6MT Comfort and a 1.5T CVT Elite — plus two new energy versions: a PHEV with 125 km of electric range and a BEV with 500 km of range under CLTC.
By covering three different powertrains with a single product line, Wuling is trying to stretch use cases under one nameplate — from urban commuting to longer-distance trips — by matching each scenario to a dedicated version.
The Starlight 560 measures 4,745/1,850/1,755 mm with a 2,810 mm wheelbase. Effective cabin length is quoted at 3,202 mm, and Wuling claims a “space utilization rate” of 83%. Together with 1,463 mm of interior width, the layout clearly targets the “big five-seat” brief, with rear-seat comfort and luggage flexibility as core selling points.
Design-wise, the SUV leans toward a more rugged, upright look, with relatively boxy body surfacing. Front and rear lighting adopt Wuling’s X-family signature graphics, delivering strong recognition when lit. The ICE/PHEV models feature an integrated front grille with a 3D “star matrix” pattern, while the BEV version switches to a closed-off geometric face with a dotted grille treatment, visually separating the combustion and electric variants.

Inside, the Starlight 560 sticks to a family-car philosophy with a wraparound cabin layout and two interior color themes: Walnut Brown and Warm Sand Brown. The former is more subdued, the latter brighter, both skewing toward a calm, home-friendly aesthetic rather than something overly aggressive.
Seating is one of the headline focuses. The seats use relatively thick synthetic leather, with backrest contours designed to support the lower back, and the front seats can fold flat to form a lounge-style layout. The rear bench offers 60:40 split-folding and backrest recline up to 125°, backed by a high-strength steel frame, aiming to balance comfort and safety.

On the tech and features side, the Starlight 560 comes with a six-speaker audio system and smartphone–vehicle integration, supporting HiCar, CarLink and DLNA.
To date, Wuling’s silver-badge lineup has surpassed 166K cumulative sales, while the Starlight family alone had already reached 138K units by June this year, making Starlight the real volume pillar of the silver-badge range.
With the arrival of the Starlight 560, Wuling is effectively plugging a “large five-seat family SUV” gap in what had been a sedan-led Starlight lineup, pushing the series toward full coverage of sedan, SUV and MPV segments under one family name.
