Xiaomi Opens In-Stock Vehicle Sales, Orders Locked by Dec 26 Get Year-End Delivery

These cars are available for purchase on the Xiaomi Auto app and are open to all users, including those who have locked an order but have not yet taken delivery, allowing them to reselect configurations.

On December 12, Xiaomi Auto announced via Weibo that it has officially launched an “in-stock vehicle purchase” channel, releasing new inventory vehicles, official display units and near-new cars for the first time. The company had teased earlier this month that the feature was about to go live.

Starting at 11 a.m., these units became available for purchase on the Xiaomi Auto app and are open to all users, including those who have locked an order but have not yet taken delivery, allowing them to reselect configurations.

Xiaomi founder Lei Jun later reposted the announcement on Weibo, explaining that “near-new” cars refer to factory-new vehicles that required repairs due to transportation-related issues. These vehicles undergo official refurbishment and pass additional inspections.

Xiaomi Auto said new inventory units are factory-new cars with existing storage age; some originate from abnormal-order processing or from buyers who could not pick up their vehicles for force-majeure reasons.

Official display cars come from store-floor static display units (not test-drive vehicles). Some may have incurred minor wear during showroom use but have undergone appearance and interior reconditioning; final condition is subject to the vehicle inspection report.

Most available units are high-trim YU7 and SU7 models priced above RMB 300,000 ($42,000). Many qualify for an RMB 22,000 ($3,080) direct discount.

Xiaomi also clarified delivery timing: users who lock their orders before 24:00 on December 26, 2025 will receive their vehicles before year-end.

The rollout of an in-stock sales channel is closely tied to Xiaomi’s production shift. Since launch, the SU7 has been in chronic short supply, especially the SU7 Max and SU7 Ultra performance trims.

But as Xiaomi’s Phase II plant reached stable production, capacity ramped up steadily, easing the “hard to get” situation and prompting the brand to prioritize accelerating volume and clearing inventory through quicker delivery cycles.

Output expansion has become increasingly visible this year. Xiaomi Auto’s data show cumulative deliveries exceeding 500,000 units since April 3, 2024.

In the first 11 months of the year, deliveries reached 361,625 units, surpassing its initial 350,000-unit target ahead of schedule. Lei Jun previously said full-year deliveries are expected to exceed 400,000 units.

According to the China Passenger Car Association, Xiaomi Auto retailed 46,249 vehicles in November, up 99.7 percent year on year, capturing a 3.5 percent market share.

This marks the brand’s third consecutive month above 40,000 units, following 41,948 in September and 48,654 in October.
