Dongfeng Nissan Posts Over 600,000 Sales in 2025, Cumulative Volume Tops 17 Million

Dongfeng Nissan’s NEV push gathers pace in 2025. The all-electric N7 has surpassed 50,000 cumulative sales, while the newly launched N6 PHEV delivered 6,822 units in its first month.

Dongfeng Nissan has released its 2025 retail sales results. Data show that full-year terminal sales exceeded 600,000 units, down about 4.7% year on year, while cumulative sales reached 17 million units.

In the new energy segment, Dongfeng Nissan significantly accelerated its rollout pace in 2025.

The all-electric N7 was launched in April last year with five variants, priced between RMB 119,900 and RMB 149,900 ($16,650–$20,820).

The N7 is equipped with 58 kWh and 73 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs, offering CLTC-rated driving ranges of 510 km, 525 km, 540 km, 625 km and 635 km across different versions.

To date, cumulative sales of the N7 have surpassed 50,000 units, making it the most stable volume contributor within Dongfeng Nissan’s NEV lineup.

Plug-in hybrid models delivered more immediate volume impact. As a core strategic PHEV, the N6 was launched in early December 2025 with limited-time incentive pricing ranging from RMB 91,900 to RMB 121,900 ($12,760–$16,930).

The N6 features a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5 L gasoline engine with an electric motor, offering CLTC pure-electric ranges of 170 km and 180 km.

In its first month on sale, N6’s deliveries reached 6,822 units, ranking first among joint-venture PHEV models.

Meanwhile, the Teana equipped with the HarmonyOS smart cockpit has secured more than 10,000 locked-in orders.

Sales of the Teana HarmonyOS edition reached 7,494 units in December, nearly doubling from 3,700 units in November.

Despite the progress in electrification, internal combustion engine vehicles remain the absolute backbone of Dongfeng Nissan’s sales structure.

Sylphy retained its position as China’s best-selling gasoline passenger car for the sixth consecutive year, with cumulative 2025 sales reaching 320,000 units, accounting for more than half of the brand’s annual volume.

The fifteenth-generation Sylphy has rolled off the production line today and is scheduled to officially launch in the first quarter of 2026.

From a broader industry perspective, the rapid rise of premium smart electric vehicle brands and intensifying competition in the NEV market continue to compress the space available to traditional fuel vehicles.

For Japanese joint-venture brands including Nissan, the heavy reliance on gasoline models indicates that pressure to accelerate the transition toward electrification remains unresolved.
