- Leapmotor hit 100,000 A10 units in 135 days, the fastest ramp in its history.
- A10 drives premium LiDAR and advanced NOA tech into sub‑RMB100K SUV pricing.
- Leapmotor surged to 101,267 July deliveries, becoming the first emerging EV maker over 100K monthly.
Leapmotor announced on Aug. 7 that its A10 100,000th production vehicle has rolled off the assembly line, just 135 days after the model’s launch.
The milestone marks the fastest 100K-unit production ramp in Leapmotor’s history, while setting a new sales record for SUVs priced below RMB 100K ($14.8K) in China.

Leapmotor launched the A10 on March 26, 2026. Positioned as a compact smart SUV, the model is priced between RMB 86.8K ($12.9K) and RMB 125.8K ($18.6K).
Built on Leapmotor’s A platform, the A10 targets young families and urban commuters. Key rivals include BYD Yuan UP and Geely Xingyuan.
The A10 has gained rapid market traction since launch. In July, the model delivered 28,593 units. Except for the launch month, monthly deliveries have exceeded 10K units in every full month since entering the market, with monthly deliveries surpassing 20K units for three consecutive months.

The A10’s fast market adoption comes from bringing premium smart features into the entry-level SUV segment. In the RMB 80K-90K ($11.9K-$13.3K) small SUV market, most models still offer basic L2 driver assistance functions, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance.
By contrast, the LiDAR-equipped version of the Leapmotor A10 starts at RMB 86.8K ($12.9K), making it one of the few models under RMB 100K ($14.8K) equipped with LiDAR. The system supports urban navigation assistance, highway NOA, memory parking, as well as end-to-end “parking space-to-parking space” intelligent driving functions.
Since 2026, several automakers have pushed advanced LiDAR-based driver assistance systems into models priced below RMB 200K ($29.6K). The A10 further lowers the entry point, bringing the technology into the RMB 100K ($14.8K) segment.

Inside the cabin, the A10 features a 14.6-inch 2.5K central display, an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit chip. Compared with conventional infotainment systems commonly used in its price segment, the 8295P delivers faster response times and stronger AI-powered interaction capabilities.
Leapmotor also set another record in July. The company delivered 101,267 vehicles during the month, up 102% year on year, becoming China’s first emerging EV maker to surpass 100K monthly deliveries.

The performance stood out as China’s broader passenger car market faced pressure. The China Passenger Car Association projected retail sales of narrow passenger vehicles in July would fall 16.8% year on year.
Leapmotor has now built a product lineup covering A-, B-, C- and D-segment vehicles. The company plans to launch at least one more new model this year, with the Leapmotor A05 scheduled to hit the market on Aug. 10.
