Leapmotor has released official interior images of the A05S, the first sedan under its A-Series lineup, marking the start of the model’s pre-launch campaign.

The A05S adopts a more youthful, stylish cabin design. It features a dual-screen layout with a separate digital instrument cluster and a central display, similar to Leapmotor’s A10 design language.

The center console removes most physical buttons, moving functions into the touchscreen interface for a cleaner layout. A full-width ambient light strip runs from the dashboard to both doors, creating a wider visual effect inside the cabin.

The gear selector adopts a column-mounted design, freeing up more space on the center console. A wireless charging pad sits below the console, alongside two cup holders.

The seats and door panels use a light pink dual-tone finish wrapped in eco-friendly suede-like materials. It marks the first time Leapmotor has applied this color theme to an A-Series model. The company said the design aims to deliver a more personalized, fashion-oriented aesthetic.

The front and rear headrests feature Leapmotor branding embroidery, while the “SPECIAL EDITION” lettering below highlights the A05S special edition identity. The second-row seatbacks also come with small tables, expanding rear-seat usage scenarios.

Leapmotor previously revealed the exterior design of the A05S. Positioned as an “intelligent compact premium sedan,” the model follows the A-Series family design language with rounded body lines. A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor suggests advanced driver assistance features could continue moving into lower-priced EV segments.

The A05S measures 4,200 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, 1,560 mm in height, with a 2,605 mm wheelbase. It is positioned as an A0-class pure electric sedan, with smaller dimensions than the A10.

Powertrain options include 70 kW and 90 kW electric motors, paired with 39.8 kWh and 53 kWh battery packs. The models deliver CLTC-rated driving ranges of 405 km and 510 km, respectively.

Pricing is expected to sit below the Leapmotor A10, which currently starts at RMB 65.8K ($9.7K) and tops out at RMB 86.8K ($12.8K). With a smaller footprint and lower positioning, the A05S is expected to launch between RMB 50K ($7.4K) and RMB 70K ($10.3K).

Leapmotor has accelerated its product rollout recently. The company launched the 2027 B01 and 2027 B10 models, starting at RMB 95.8K ($14.1K) and RMB 99.8K ($14.7K), respectively, adding larger battery packs and comfort features to strengthen competitiveness.

The A05S has now entered the pre-launch phase, with an official launch expected soon.

Leapmotor delivered 93,376 vehicles globally in June, up 95% year on year, setting a new monthly sales record. China deliveries reached 72,376 units.

Among recently launched models, the A10 achieved monthly sales of 24,865 units, while the D19 reached 8,034 units. Both models have continued to gain momentum after launch, becoming key drivers of Leapmotor’s sales growth.

Leapmotor’s new models have historically achieved rapid sales growth after launch. With a younger interior design, smaller dimensions, and competitive pricing, the A05S could become another volume model for the brand, supporting its push toward 100K monthly deliveries.
