Recently, NIO Energy released its users’ power-up report for the May Day holiday.
The report shows that from May 1 to May 5, NIO users across the country completed more than 2.6 million kilometers of travel through the power swap and charging network, equivalent to circling the Earth 6,500 times.
In terms of the power swap network, as of early May, NIO had built 3,302 power swap stations, covering 1,000 districts and counties nationwide. During the five-day holiday, a total of 634,177 power swap services were completed, with an average daily service volume of 126,835.
On May 1, the peak travel day, there were 134,770 power swaps in a single day, and on May 5, the peak return day, there were 131,984 power swaps in a single day, with an average of one vehicle completing a power swap every 0.6 seconds.
There is an interesting data point in the report: one user set a record of 45 power swaps during the holiday, covering 45 different power swap stations in 13 cities. With the support of power swap, pure electric travel can truly be as spontaneous as “say go and go.”
In the high-speed refueling scenario, the 983 power swap stations laid out by NIO played a key role.
These power swap stations, which are on average 180 kilometers apart along the “nine vertical and nine horizontal” high-speed network, supported the refueling needs of 81% of users on long-distance trips and saved a total of 184,259 hours for long-distance traveling car owners.
Among them, the G15 Shenhai Expressway, with an average of 3,374 orders per day, became the busiest route. The Xuancheng Ningguo Century Plaza power swap station topped the list of popular stations with an average of 154 units per day.
The supporting charging network also performed impressively, with 26,189 charging piles serving 452,500 charging needs during the holiday. It is worth mentioning that 87% of the charging power was used by non-NIO users.
