This afternoon, NIO officially announced that during 2025–2026, it will enter seven European markets through national dealer partners, launching five models across two brands. These include the NIO EL6 (sold as the ES6 in China), EL8 (ES8 in China), ET5, ET5 Touring (ET5T in China), and the Firefly brand’s namesake model.

In Belgium and Luxembourg, NIO will partner with Hedin Mobility Group, a leading European mobility service provider. In Central and Eastern Europe, NIO will collaborate with AutoWallis to first cover Austria and Hungary in 2025, with plans to begin deliveries in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Romania in 2026.
As the world’s second-largest new energy vehicle market, Europe represents a critical step in NIO’s global strategy.
Currently, NIO already operates in Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden, where it has established multiple NIO Houses, NIO Spaces, and service centers. For its energy network, NIO plans to build over 4,000 battery swap stations globally by the end of 2025, including 1,000 in Europe.
