Shangjie Releases First Model Teaser, Featuring Smart Driving Blue Lights

Official debut this fall, featuring smart driving blue lights.

On the morning of July 11, Shangjie, the fifth brand under Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), officially released a teaser image of its first model.

Shortly after, Richard Yu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Consumer BG, reposted the teaser, adding the caption: “Shangjie hits the stage! See you this fall! Great smart driving, with blue lights!” This one sentence revealed both the launch timeframe and a key feature of the new model.

Although the teaser only shows the vehicle’s silhouette, some crucial design features are clearly visible. The lidar module on the roof is particularly eye-catching, and the blue lights—highlighted by Richard Yu—are located on both the front and rear sides, serving as the visual signature of Huawei’s advanced intelligent driving system.

According to industry insiders, this lidar is Huawei’s self-developed 192-line high-performance version, paired with the latest 4D millimeter-wave radar to form an advanced perception system.

When we brighten the teaser image, further design details emerge. The vehicle profile suggests a length approaching 5 meters. The short front overhang hints at spacious interior space, likely one of the model’s core selling points. Interestingly, unlike the mainstream trend of hidden door handles, this SUV adopts a traditional handle design. The charging port is positioned at the left rear of the body.

Public records show that SAIC Motor Group filed a vehicle exterior design patent in February 2025. When comparing the details, the patent drawings closely resemble the Shangjie teaser.

According to the development plan, the new Shangjie brand, jointly developed by SAIC Motor and Huawei, will follow the Smart Selection model and target a younger market demographic. Sources reveal that prices will start at RMB 170,000–180,000 ($23,800–$25,200), topping out around RMB 250,000 ($35,000). Shangjie’s first model may be developed from an existing product under SAIC Motor’s Rising Auto sub-brand, with only minor exterior modifications, while the main upgrade lies in integrating Huawei’s electronic architecture and intelligent technology.

Unlike the four existing brands under HIMA, Shangjie will fill a crucial gap in the mainstream market and become the most affordable HIMA brand.
