As the latest member of BYD’s “Ocean Lineup,” the Sealion 06 further enriches the product lineup.

Measuring 4,810 × 1,920 × 1,675 mm with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, the model is slightly larger than the previously launched Sealion 05. Its exterior features split-level headlights and a sporty intake grille, with both hybrid and EV variants sharing the same design language. The SUV offers a 757L trunk (expandable to 1,630L), while the EV version adds a 142L front trunk for extra practicality.
Inside, the Sealion 06 comes with a 15.6-inch floating central display, an electronic column-mounted shifter, and a front-mounted instrument cluster, all powered by the upgraded DiLink 100 smart cockpit. Premium features include a Dynaudio sound system, a 1.73m² panoramic sunroof, and a temperature-controlled storage box, all catering to family-oriented travel needs.

In terms of powertrain, the DM-i version adopts BYD’s 5th-generation hybrid system, pairing a 1.5L engine with a 160 kW electric motor, delivering a combined range of up to 1,670 km. The EV version, built on an 800V high-voltage platform, offers a peak charging rate of 237 kW and an energy consumption of just 12.5 kWh per 100 km.
The chassis features a front MacPherson and rear multi-link suspension setup, combined with the YunNian-C intelligent damping control system. All trims come standard with BYD’s “Pilot 100” advanced driver-assistance suite.

The Sealion lineup has quickly become one of BYD’s core best-sellers. In June alone, the series delivered 34,757 units, accounting for roughly 9% of BYD’s monthly NEV sales. In the first half of 2025, the Ocean Series has surpassed 1 million cumulative sales, marking a 38.98% year-on-year increase, while the total sales of the Ocean Series models have now exceeded 5.2 million units.
