NIO Power and Jiangsu Financial Leasing to Build 100 Stations

The first phase of the partnership will launch with pilot projects at NIO Power’s battery swap stations in Nanjing. As of July 31, NIO Power has built a total of 3,430 battery swap stations nationwide, including 1,000 along highways.

On August 7, Wuhan NIO Energy Co., Ltd. (NIO Power) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jiangsu Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. (stock code: 600901.SH).

According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly build 100 integrated charging and battery swap stations across Jiangsu province, strengthening the regional energy supply network. They will also deepen cooperation in areas such as capital investment, technology, and business models. The first round of projects will begin as pilot programs at NIO Power’s existing battery swap stations in Nanjing.

In the automotive finance sector, the two sides will move beyond traditional models to develop customized sales financing solutions for ONVO, a sub-brand under NIO. Priority will be given to providing consumer finance and supply chain finance support.

As of July 31, NIO Power has built 3,430 battery swap stations across China, forming a “9 vertical, 11 horizontal, and 16 metropolitan clusters” highway swap network, with 1,000 of the stations located along expressways. The network has provided over 80 million battery swap services in total. NIO’s “battery swap accessible in every county” initiative has already been implemented in regions including Beijing, Shanghai, Macao, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Tianjin, Guangdong, Chongqing, and Hainan.
