The real interior of the Buick Electra L7 has been revealed, showcasing a comprehensive design upgrade that balances technology and practicality.
On August 11, an uncamouflaged interior video of the Buick Electra L7 surfaced online. As Buick’s latest offering in the range-extended hybrid segment, this new model exhibits significant interior changes.
The footage shows that, compared with Buick’s previous models which typically used a continuous screen layout, the Electra L7 adopts a “dual-screen” setup with a fully digital instrument cluster plus a floating central control screen. It retains physical buttons for air conditioning, AUTO mode, defrost, and other controls, balancing a clean visual design with intuitive operation.
The steering wheel features a brand-new design with a simpler button layout, complementing the purple-and-white two-tone interior color scheme. A large reserved area for the HUD in front of the driver suggests a large projection display. The center console includes dual wireless charging pads, allowing two phones to be charged simultaneously.

In terms of details, the new car features frameless four-door design with hidden door handles and privacy glass for the rear seats. Reportedly, the frameless doors of the Electra L7 have undergone meticulous sealing and seam polishing to reduce wind noise, continuing Buick’s strength in NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) control.
Powertrain-wise, based on previously disclosed information, the Electra L7 is built on the Xiaoyao architecture, equipped with the “Zhenlong” range extender system and a 40.2kWh Ultium battery. Under CLTC conditions, it achieves a pure electric range of up to 302 km, with a combined range exceeding 1,400 km. It also supports more than 3,700 full charge-discharge cycles with low degradation over 640,000 km of pure electric driving.

The interior design of the Electra L7 inherits the style of the Electra concept car unveiled at the Auto Shanghai, but is more aligned with production logic.
With the details revealed this time, the balance of intelligence, comfort, and range performance will mark a key effort for Buick in the new energy vehicle market.
