The production plan will be implemented in phases, with the first model to be put into production being the B10, followed by the B05 model.
From January to July 2025, Leapmotor’s cumulative export volume reached 24,980 units.
On August 28, according to the International Finance News, Leapmotor’s European manufacturing base will be established at the Zaragoza plant in Spain, which is Stellantis’ vehicle manufacturing facility in the country.
Based on the plan, after the renovation is completed, the plant will initially produce Leapmotor’s B-series models, with production scheduled to begin in the third quarter of next year.
The production plan will be implemented in phases. The first model to be produced will be the B10, followed by the B05.
The B10 is a compact all-electric SUV and the first global model of Leapmotor’s B-series, launched in April this year. The B05 is planned to be unveiled at the Munich Motor Show in September. Market predictions suggest its domestic price may be under 100,000 yuan, while its European pricing could be below £30,000.
Currently, the Leapmotor B10 has undergone cumulative real-world testing spanning over one million kilometers across 200 cities in 18 countries, including Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia. According to the plan, in 2025, the B10 will gradually enter more than 20 markets, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and South America. As a key expansion region, Europe has already announced a starting price of 29,900 euros (approximately RMB 250,000) for this model.
The acceleration of Leapmotor’s global expansion is closely tied to its deep collaboration with Stellantis. In October 2023, the two parties confirmed a strategic partnership, with Stellantis planning to invest €1.5 billion to acquire a 20% stake in Leapmotor. They also established a joint venture, “Leapmotor International,” with a 51:49 ratio, responsible for the export, sales, and localized production of Leapmotor vehicles in global markets outside China.
Official data shows that from January to July 2025, Leapmotor’s cumulative exports reached 24,980 units, making it a pioneer in the export of new energy vehicles from China.
