Among specific models, the company’s debut vehicle, the Xiaomi SU7, remains the sales mainstay. According to data from the China Passenger Car Association, retail sales of the SU7 reached 24,410 units in July.

The SU7 Ultra crossed the 10,000-unit mark just four months after its launch and secured the top spot from January to July 2025 among sedans and EVs priced above RMB 500,000 ($69,600).

Meanwhile, the YU7, launched at the end of June this year, received 200,000 pre-orders within three minutes of opening sales, with locked-in orders surpassing 240,000 units within 18 hours.

Supply chain sources indicate that Xiaomi Auto is confident in meeting its expanded 2025 delivery target of 420,000 units—20% higher than Lei Jun’s original goal. Of this, the company’s Beijing Yizhuang Phase I plant is expected to contribute 340,000 units of capacity, while Phase II is projected to add another 80,000 once operational.
Financial results also underscore the rapid scale-up of the auto business. According to Xiaomi Group’s Q2 2025 earnings report, auto revenue reached RMB 20.6 billion ($2.87 billion), up 232% year-on-year, accounting for 96.7% of total revenue from new businesses.

Although the division still posted a net loss of RMB 300 million ($41.8 million) in the second quarter, this represents a significant improvement from the RMB 1.8 billion ($250.7 million) loss in the same period of 2024.
Market consensus now expects Xiaomi Auto to achieve quarterly profitability in the second half of this year.
At the earnings call, Group President Lu Weibing reiterated that the company’s overseas expansion plan for 2027 remains unchanged, with preparations accelerating.
