Is the Facelifted Geely Geome Still the Pure Electric “Champion”?
On the evening of October 10, at the 2025 Geely Auto User Conference & 2026 Geely Geome Launch Event, the all-new Geely Geome officially hit the market.
Let’s skip the user conference and focus directly on the new car.
The 2026 Geely Geome is available in 5 variants, all inclusive of a limited-time RMB 3,000 ($421.35) super trade-in allowance:
- 310km Youth Version: RMB 65,800 ($9,241.57) (original price: RMB 68,800 ($9,662.92))
- 310km Dream Version: RMB 73,800 ($10,365.17) (original price: RMB 76,800 ($10,786.52))
- 410km Comfort Version: RMB 73,800 ($10,365.17) (original price: RMB 76,800 ($10,786.52))
- 410km Freedom Version: RMB 78,800 ($11,067.42) (original price: RMB 81,800 ($11,488.76))
- 410km Explore Version: RMB 84,800 ($11,910.11) (original price: RMB 87,800 ($12,331.46))
There is also a “STAR” Limited Edition priced at RMB 95,800 ($13,455.06) (original price: RMB 98,800 ($13,876.40)), with an initial limited stock of 1,000 units.
Meanwhile, users who take delivery by October 31, or complete a confirmed order and take delivery by 24:00 on November 30, can enjoy launch exclusive benefits including a RMB 3,000 ($421.35) no-threshold trade-in subsidy and a RMB 1,000 ($140.45) customization voucher.
Fan Junyi, General Manager of Geely Auto Sales Company, stated that the Geely Geome is the “absolute champion” in the Chinese auto market without any qualifiers.
In terms of specific data, the Geely Geome has achieved monthly sales exceeding 40,000 units for 4 consecutive months, with 50,000 units delivered in September this year—setting a new delivery record. Moreover, it is the only model in the Chinese market with over 350,000 units delivered from January to September 2025, firmly establishing itself as a “phenomenal bestseller.”

Sustaining Core Advantages
At the event, Zhang Bin, Vice President of Geely Vehicle Research Institute, reviewed the secrets behind the Geely Geome’s success as a “phenomenal bestseller.”
He summarized its achievements into “3 Small Car Standards” and “3 Transcendental Values”—for instance, the Geely Xingyuan has created a memorable and widely appealing exterior design in its price segment.
In official terms, this design “appeals to both men and women.”
Regarding the exterior, the 2026 Geely Xingyuan adds two new colors: “Cocoa Beige” and “Chanson Purple,” which are available for free for a limited time until December 31 this year. In total, the Geely Xingyuan now offers 8 color options.
The limited-edition “STAR” version, in addition to its unique gray-and-red contrasting color scheme, comes with exclusive exterior kits, including star-patterned wheel designs.
In addition, to meet the more diverse storage needs of the front trunk, the official has also developed accessories such as the front trunk utility bag.
Beyond these, the 2026 Geely Geome retains its previous core advantages: spacious interior, 70L frunk, rear-wheel drive (RWD) with multi-link independent rear suspension, as well as standard features across all variants including the Geely Thunder 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive system, CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited) battery cells, and StarRui AI Cloud Power.
Additionally, even the entry-level variant now extra offers a factory-installed built-in dashcam, skin-friendly leather seats, and a soft-light vanity mirror—preventing the base configuration from feeling overly “basic.”
On the software front, it is equipped with the latest Flyme Auto S 1.9.0 intelligent cockpit system, featuring new functions such as desktop large cards, an intelligent service hall, and a pet mode.
It is evident that as an extremely successful product, the 2026 Geely Geome’s facelift follows a “more value without price increase” strategy: retaining original product advantages, keeping prices nearly unchanged, adding more variety to the exterior, and offering more generous configurations.
Fierce Competition Looms
As mentioned earlier, the Geely Geome has delivered outstanding performance over the past year—recording monthly sales exceeding 40,000 units for 4 consecutive months and being the only model in China with over 350,000 units delivered from January to September 2025.
For comparison, BYD Dolphin sold 21,888 units in September this year. It can be said that the Geely Xingyuan has gained market recognition and even surpassed BYD’s once iconic model.
This also underscores a truth: there are no eternal winners in the Chinese auto market.
While the market performance of the facelifted Geely Geome is still promising, the competitive landscape for A0-class models is quietly changing.
For example, the all-new MG4 is a strong competitor to the Geely Geome. With 11,789 units sold in its first month, the MG4 has become a significant sales driver for the MG brand. What’s more, small cars like the MG4 offer a long-range version with 530km of range—an option currently not available for the Geely Geome.
Of course, “veteran players” such as the Wuling Bingo and BYD Dolphin cannot be underestimated either. They may expand sales through price cuts, model updates/facelifts, or launching new variants.
In particular, the Wuling Bingo family recently added the Bingo S model, which boasts advantages in space, offers 102 horsepower across all variants, and is slightly more affordable than the 2026 Geely Geome (starting at RMB 63,800 ($8,960.68)).
