Huawei-backed HIMA has surpassed 1 million cumulative deliveries in just 43 months, setting a new record among emerging auto brands.
On October 28, Huawei Executive Director and Terminal BG Chairman Richard Yu announced on Weibo that Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) has delivered over 1 million vehicles across all models within 43 months of launch, marking the fastest milestone among China’s new energy vehicle startups.

Yu said the brand will continue to roll out more competitive products and expressed hope that “the next million deliveries will come even faster.”
HIMA currently encompasses five sub-brands — AITO, Luxeed, Stelato, Maextro, and Shangjie — representing partnerships with Seres, Chery, BAIC, JAC, and SAIC respectively, covering a range from high-end luxury to mainstream family vehicles.
Deliveries have accelerated significantly this year. In September, HIMA delivered 52,916 vehicles, bringing cumulative deliveries past 950,000 units, with transaction prices remaining among the highest in China’s new EV segment. Just one month later, it crossed the 1-million mark.
AITO remains the brand’s volume backbone. Since its launch 21 months ago, the AITO M9 has delivered over 250,000 units, setting a new record for models priced above RMB 500,000 ($70,000).

The M8 has also surpassed 100,000 cumulative deliveries by the end of September, topping the RMB 400,000 ($56,000) sales segment.
Within the Luxeed brand, the new R7 and S7 models launched on August 25, priced from RMB 249,800 ($34,970) and RMB 229,800 ($32,200) respectively. Just 44 days after launch, combined pre-orders for both models exceeded 38,000 units.
Stelato, positioned in the premium executive sedan segment, debuted the S9T on September 16 with a starting price of RMB 309,800 ($43,400). Within 13 days, the model secured over 15,000 firm orders. Yu also revealed that a new flagship, the Stelato S9, will be released in November.
In the ultra-luxury segment, the Maextro S800 represents the brand’s push into the million-yuan category. Since its debut in late May, it has received more than 15,000 firm orders and topped the RMB 700,000 ($98,000)-plus luxury sedan chart in September with 1,918 units sold, surpassing Porsche Panamera’s 802.

For the mid-range market, the Shangjie H5 was launched on September 23 starting at RMB 159,800 ($22,400). Within 29 days of pre-sale, it attracted 160,000 reservations.
Reports suggest that two upcoming Shangjie models will be SUVs, with one based on a new co-developed platform between Huawei and SAIC.
Currently, among China’s emerging EV manufacturers, only Li Auto and Leapmotor have also surpassed 1 million cumulative deliveries. Li Auto achieved the milestone in 58 months, while Leapmotor reached it in 76 months.
