Data shows that BYD’s cumulative sales in Brazil reached 77,000 units in the first three quarters of 2025.
Just one and a half months after commencing production, BYD’s passenger vehicle plant in Camaçari, Bahia, Brazil, celebrated the milestone of its 10,000th vehicle rolling off the production line. This achievement came approximately only one and a half months after the factory officially started production in October.
The BYD Brazil plant welcomed its first vehicle on July 1, 2025. From the project announcement in July 2023 to the first vehicle’s completion, it took only 15 months. On October 9, BYD’s 14 millionth new energy vehicle, a Song Pro model, rolled off the production line at the Brazil plant, marking the day the factory officially entered into operation.

It is reported that the total investment in this plant is 5.5 billion Brazilian Reais (approximately 7.1 billion Chinese Yuan), making it the largest new energy vehicle industrial complex in Latin America.
Currently, the factory primarily produces three models: the Seagull, the Destroyer 05, and the Song Pro DM-i, covering both pure electric and plug-in hybrid technology routes. The initial annual production capacity of the plant is 150,000 vehicles and is expected to increase to 300,000 units by the second half of next year.

On the same day, the DENZA brand announced its official entry into the Brazilian market at the 31st São Paulo International Motor Show, marking a crucial step in the brand’s internationalization strategy.
DENZA launched two models in the local market: the DENZA Z9GT with a pre-sale price of 650,000 Brazilian Reais (approximately 855,000 Chinese Yuan), and the D9 with a pre-sale price of 800,000 Brazilian Reais (approximately 1.05 million Chinese Yuan).
Additionally, the Formula Leopard Bao 5 model was renamed the DENZA B5 for the local market, also launching simultaneously with a pre-sale price of 436,000 Brazilian Reais (approximately 579,000 Chinese Yuan).

Official data shows that since BYD entered the Brazilian passenger car market in 2021, it has accumulated over 170,000 customers. In the first three quarters of 2025, BYD’s cumulative sales in Brazil reached 77,000 vehicles, with September monthly sales exceeding 10,000 units for the first time, setting a new growth record in the country’s automotive market.
