NIO’s vehicle registrations rebounded in December in both the Netherlands and Norway, driven by strong ET5 and EL6 demand.
According to the latest data from EU-EVs, NIO recorded a clear rebound in new vehicle registrations in the Netherlands and Norway in December.
In the Netherlands, NIO registered 92 vehicles during the month, up more than ninefold from 9 units in November.
The ET5 accounted for 59 registrations, followed by the EL6 with 25 units and the firefly with 8 units.
So far this year, NIO has delivered a total of 240 vehicles in the Netherlands. The ET5 remains the leading model with cumulative deliveries of 114 units, while the EL6, ET7, firefly, and EL8 recorded 35 units, 36 units, 41 units, and 14 units respectively.
The firefly has shown particularly strong performance in the local market. Deliveries of the model began in the Netherlands in August this year, and it was recently named “Car of the Year 2025” by local automotive media AutoRAI.nl.

In Norway, NIO registered 72 vehicles in December, up 80% from 40 units in the previous month. The EL6 led with 28 registrations, followed by the ET5 and firefly with 18 units each, and the EL8 with 8 units.
Cumulatively this year, NIO has delivered 461 vehicles in Norway. The EL6 is the core model with 209 units delivered, followed by the ET5 with 130 units, the EL8 with 60 units, the firefly with 41 units, and the ET7 with 20 units.

Norway was NIO’s first European market. In 2021, the company announced its Norway strategy and began delivering its first model locally, the ES8.
In October 2022, NIO announced its entry into the Netherlands and other European countries at the “NIO Berlin 2022” event, while opening reservations for three new models: the ET7, EL7, and ET5.
Currently, NIO operates in Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden, with multiple NIO Houses, NIO Spaces, and service centers established across these markets.

Overall, NIO Inc. has maintained positive delivery growth this year. Total deliveries in November reached 36,275 vehicles, up 76.3% year-on-year, including 419 units from overseas markets.
Its cumulative deliveries from January to November stood at 277,893 vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase of 45.6%.

If i lived in Norway I buy a NIO! Great cars and a country NIO is investing in. Also having a few swap stations.
You know how good Nio is when the American government is terrified of them coming to their shores
