XPeng Accelerates Middle East, Africa Push with Qatar Launch, Largest Service Center in Egypt

Over the past month, XPeng has moved in parallel across market entry, channel partnerships and service infrastructure development in the Middle East and Africa.

On December 26, XPeng announced a series of new milestones in its global expansion strategy across the Middle East and Africa, marking one of its most intensive overseas deployment phases to date.

Over the past month, XPeng has moved in parallel across market entry, channel partnerships and service infrastructure development, positioning the Middle East and Africa as a key focus region in its international growth plan.

In the Middle East, XPeng has officially entered the Qatar market. The company recently held its brand launch event in Doha, where the XPeng G9 and G6 made their local debut, with the P7+ slated for introduction at a later stage. XPeng also showcased its XPeng Aridge E-VTOL at the event.

In Africa, XPeng has chosen East Africa as its initial entry point. On December 16, the company signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Axess Limited, its distributor in Mauritius, marking its formal entry into the market.

While Mauritius represents a relatively small auto market, its role as a regional hub connecting Africa, Asia and the Middle East gives it strategic value, enabling XPeng to extend its reach into East Africa and the wider Indian Ocean region.

Market expansion has been accompanied by accelerated localization of infrastructure. In December, XPeng opened a new flagship experience center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, while simultaneously launching a showroom and service center in New Cairo, Egypt.

The Egypt facility includes a showroom of approximately 400 square meters and a service center covering around 2,000 square meters, making it XPeng’s largest dedicated service site in the Middle East and Africa. The complex integrates sales, vehicle delivery and after-sales services.

To support service efficiency, XPeng’s Middle East and Africa parts warehouse in Dubai began operations in October. The facility stocks more than 1,000 types of components, providing fast parts support for core models such as the XPeng G6 and G9 across key regional markets.

XPeng has continued to post strong growth globally this year. From January to November, sales in the Asia-Pacific region, including China, rose 170% year on year, while Europe grew 161% and the Middle East increased 66%. Overall global sales climbed 156%, reflecting broad-based momentum across multiple regions.

Currently, XPeng operates nine research and development centers worldwide and is advancing localized manufacturing initiatives.

Within the year, the company has rapidly established three localized production projects in Indonesia, Austria in partnership with Magna, and Malaysia.
