Leapmotor B01, B10 Combined Production Tops 300K in 18 Months

Takeaways
  • Leapmotor pushed its B-series rapidly into mainstream volume, rolling out B10 globally and B01 domestically to capture price-sensitive buyers and gain share from established compact BEV rivals.
  • The B01 and B10 reached combined 300,000 units in ~18 months, August global B10 sales topped 20,000 with overseas >10,000, and starting prices around RMB 100,000 (about $14,900).
  • Targets compact mainstream and European markets, but risks include scaling overseas manufacturing, reliance on Stellantis partnership for localization, and B-series currently trailing A10 in domestic contribution.

Leapmotor’s B-series models, the B01 and B10, officially rolled off the production line on Sept. 14, reaching a combined 300,000-unit production milestone.

With the B10 launching in April 2025 and the B01 joining the lineup in July of the same year, the B-series took about 18 months to reach the milestone, making it Leapmotor’s fastest product family to reach 300,000 units.

The pace reflects the B-series’ positioning in the highly competitive mainstream price segment.

Since their launches, the two models have primarily been tasked with expanding Leapmotor’s overall sales volume.

The B10 has also been positioned as a global model for overseas markets.

Rather than relying solely on domestic sales, Leapmotor is attempting to build the product line around both the Chinese and international markets.

The B10’s overseas expansion has been particularly pronounced. As of August 2026, the model had entered more than 40 countries and regions worldwide.

In the first half of 2026, the B10 ranked No. 1 among Chinese-brand compact BEV SUVs in Europe by sales and topped the segment in Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland.

In August, global B10 sales exceeded 20,000 units, with overseas sales surpassing 10,000 units and accounting for nearly half of the total.

Leapmotor said cumulative overseas sales of the B10 have exceeded 60,000 units, making it the company’s fastest-selling individual model to reach that level in international markets.

Leapmotor’s overseas expansion is not based entirely on exports. Its partnership with Stellantis provides a foundation for sales and localized operations in Europe.

At the same time, Leapmotor is building a global manufacturing network.

It currently has production bases in China, Myanmar, Indonesia and Malaysia, while a plant in Spain is also moving toward production.

In July, the B01 and B10 received model-year updates, with both upgraded to an 800V high-voltage fast-charging platform.

Their starting prices were also brought into the mainstream BEV market at around RMB 100,000 ($14,900).

Based on the current sales mix, however, the B-series is still not the main driver of Leapmotor’s overall domestic deliveries.

In August, Leapmotor’s global deliveries reached 103,129 units, up 80.7% year on year, exceeding 100,000 units for a second consecutive month.

The A10 alone delivered 30,652 units in the month and remained the brand’s largest single-model sales contributor.

By comparison, the B10 and B01 delivered 8,831 and 5,009 units, respectively, for a combined total of nearly 14,000 units.
