- Zeekr has begun large-scale shipments of its flagship 9X to the UAE with local deliveries starting in October, signaling a focused push to win share in the Middle Eastern premium EV segment.
- The UAE lineup offers Ultra, Hyper and Obsidian trims priced at AED 369,900, AED 409,900 and AED 439,900, roughly RMB 675K (about $100.8K), RMB 749K (about $111.8K) and RMB 803K (about $119.9K), and received over 700 pre-orders.
- The 9X will enter markets via complete-vehicle exports while sharing Chinese production capacity, exposing Zeekr to timing, localization and margin pressures versus established luxury EV competitors.
Zeekr announced on Sept. 22 that its flagship SUV, the Zeekr 9X, has begun large-scale shipments to the UAE. The vehicles will be delivered to local customers starting in October.
The Zeekr 9X had previously opened pre-orders in the UAE. The local lineup includes three variants — Ultra, Hyper and Obsidian — priced at AED 369,900, AED 409,900 and AED 439,900, equivalent to around RMB 675K ($100.8K), RMB 749K ($111.8K) and RMB 803K ($119.9K), respectively. The model is scheduled to officially launch in October.
By comparison, the China-market Zeekr 9X is priced between RMB 465,900 and RMB 599,900 ($69.6K-$89.6K), making the UAE-spec top-end version around RMB 200K more expensive.
Zhao Chunlin, Zeekr’s head of manufacturing, said the Zeekr 9X received more than 700 orders during its UAE pre-order period.
Zhao added that the overseas version of the Zeekr 9X follows a global development approach, with different market regulations, consumer needs, software localization and after-sales systems considered from the early stages of development. The model currently enters overseas markets through complete vehicle exports, while sharing production capacity with China-market units.
The Middle East is only the first stop in the Zeekr 9X’s global expansion plan. The flagship SUV will later enter markets across Central Asia, Europe and Latin America, as Zeekr seeks to use its premium model to expand into the global luxury EV segment.
Zeekr currently operates in more than 60 countries and regions, with nearly 800 stores worldwide. Its cumulative global deliveries have surpassed 900K units.
The overseas expansion of the Zeekr 9X also reflects a broader shift in China’s EV export landscape.
Data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) shows that China exported 7.153M passenger vehicles from January to August 2026, up 66.7% YoY. New energy passenger vehicle exports reached 3.59M units, up 74% YoY, accounting for more than half of total passenger vehicle exports.
