- Updated May refresh improved powertrain, handling, driver assistance and cabin; limited-time offers start at RMB 61.8K (about $9.3K), with 310K year-to-date deliveries and 44,275 September units.
- Targets mass-market rivals like BYD Dolphin and Seagull but rapid ramp raises execution risks around sustaining supply, margin pressure on low-priced units, and overseas distribution scaling.
Geely Galaxy announced on October 20 that the 1,000,000th Geely Xingyuan, its first A0-segment all-electric sedan, has officially rolled off the production line. The model is sold overseas as the Geely EX2.

Launched in October 2024, the Xingyuan reached the milestone in about two years. Geely says the model now sells at an average rate of one vehicle per minute.
The sales milestone timeline shows an accelerating pace. The Xingyuan reached 200K units in May 2025, 600K in March 2026, 800K in August and 1 million in October. It added 400K units between March and October, with the latest 200K coming in just two months.

The Xingyuan has also become a major sales driver for Geely Galaxy. In September, the brand delivered 85,164 vehicles, including 44,275 Xingyuan units, which accounted for about 52% of its monthly total.
Year to date, the Xingyuan has recorded more than 310K deliveries, ranking first in China’s A0-segment sedan market. It far outpaced the BYD Dolphin, which ranked second with 116,606 units, and the BYD Seagull, with 83,604.
Geely updated the Xingyuan in May to sharpen its position in the entry-level EV market. The refresh brought upgrades to handling, the electric powertrain, driver assistance and the cabin. Limited-time offers start at RMB 61.8K ($9.3K).

Geely is also expanding the model’s overseas reach. The EX2 has entered Australia and the UK, with Pakistan among its planned markets. In Malaysia, it is sold through local automaker Proton’s sales network as the e.MAS 5.
The e.MAS 5 sold 10,665 units in Malaysia in the first half of 2026, capturing 33.6% of the country’s EV market and ranking as its best-selling electric model.
