According to 36Kr, NIO is accelerating the integration of its sub-brands, ONVO and Firefly.
On the afternoon of May 9th, NIO issued an internal announcement, declaring multiple organizational adjustments for these two subsidiaries to be fully incorporated into NIO’s main system. These adjustments involve ONVO’s core departments including product R&D, user services and vehicle marketing, as well as the Firefly Business Division.
According to the announcement, NIO will establish the “ONVO Product Design and Development Level – One Department” under the Product Design and Development Cluster (PD&D), which will report directly to CEO William Li.

The original product experience, project management, design, and vehicle engineering departments of the ONVO Business Division will be integrated as a whole, and a new “ONVO Brand Product Line Department” will be established. Under the User Service and Experience Cluster (UE), a new “ONVO User Service Level – One Department” will be created, led by Shen Fei and reporting to Co – founder William Qin, covering the original planning, regional sales, and marketing functions of ONVO. The Marketing Campaign Planning Department and Regional Sales Companies will be merged into the UE Cluster and continue to exist as second-level departments, with no changes to their reporting relationships. Some NIO employees have indicated that this is equivalent to achieving sales integration between NIO and ONVO.

In addition, the Firefly Business Division will also be incorporated into the PD&D Cluster. Although the specific details of the adjustments have not been made public, the general direction is consistent.
In other words, NIO’s previously independent ONVO and Firefly Business Divisions have been officially dissolved, with resources fully integrated.
