NIO Power Achieves County-level Swap Station Coverage in Tianjin

Following the achievement of swap station coverage in every county of Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Guangdong, NIO has officially announced that Tianjin has now accomplished “county-level swap station coverage,” with the first swap station in Heping District commencing operations today.

As of now, NIO has deployed 56 swap stations in Tianjin, covering all 16 districts of the city, ensuring that each district is equipped with at least one swap station.

During a livestream in February this year, William Li, CEO of NIO, revealed that expanding the swap station network remains a top priority in 2024. The company aims to deploy 5,000 swap stations globally by 2025. Further plans include achieving “county-level coverage” in 14 provinces by the first half of 2025 and extending it to 27 provincial-level regions by the end of 2025.

As of this report, NIO has already built 3,337 swap stations, including 988 highway swap stations, solidifying its position as the world’s largest battery swap infrastructure operator.
