On June 10, XPeng Motors CEO He Xiaopeng teased new details about the upcoming XPeng G7, revealing that the model will be the world’s first to feature Turing AI chips. He also shared a cryptic equation—”1+1+1=9″—inviting speculation about its meaning.
Most automotive enthusiasts interpreted the equation as hinting that “three Turing chips deliver computing power equivalent to nine Orin-X chips.” He Xiaopeng later confirmed the G7 will carry three Turing AI chips and explained:
“One chip represents the present, two chips represent the future, and three chips exceed imagination—ensuring leadership for five years.”

XPeng’s Turing AI chip completed tape-out in August last year. Key specifications include:
- A 40-core processor
- Capable of running 30B-parameter large AI models
- Dual independent ISPs (Image Signal Processors)
- Promises “clear visibility in low-light, rainy, and backlit conditions”
He Xiaopeng also announced yesterday that the new XPeng G7 model will make its global debut at 7:30 p.m. on June 11. He said this is a rare intelligent SUV in the market that combines extreme “hardcore technology + space comfort”, and it is also a future – oriented car. The XPeng G7 will be the first AI car with L3 computing power.
