Lei Jun today officially announced that Xiaomi’s first all-electric SUV, the YU7, will hit the market by the end of June. Multiple sources suggest a specific release date of June 26.

Simultaneously, Xiaomi will unveil its second tablet, the “Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro,” powered by the in-house Xuanjie O1 chip.
The YU7 debuted at Xiaomi’s 15th-anniversary event on May 22 and later stole the spotlight as a crowd favorite at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Auto Show. As Xiaomi’s inaugural SUV, it will compete head-to-head with rivals like the Tesla Model Y, Li Auto L6, and Zeekr 7X.

The five-seater measures 4,999mm long, 1,996mm wide, and 1,616mm tall, with a 3,000mm wheelbase. Its front and rear trunks offer 141L and 678L of storage respectively. The rear seats feature electric folding, expanding maximum cargo space to 1,758L—outclassing peers in practicality.
Sporting Xiaomi’s signature design language with coupé-inspired proportions, Lei Jun highlighted its aerodynamics at the launch: 10 integrated air channels and 19 vents slash the drag coefficient to Cd 0.245, boosting efficiency and range. The base model achieves an 835km CLTC-rated range.

Inside, the YU7 debuts Xiaomi’s proprietary PHUD (Panoramic Head-Up Display) system, dubbed “Xiaomi HyperVision.” This 1.1-meter-wide panoramic projection display is the first of its kind to enter mass production—beating even BMW to market.
Pricing remains a key focus. With the SU7 starting at ¥215,900, the YU7 is expected to enter the market around ¥250,000, extending Xiaomi’s “premium specs, aggressive pricing” strategy to capture the mainstream electric SUV segment.
