NIO ET5/EC6 Champion Edition feature matte silver paint, fluorescent green accents, and upgraded interiors.
On July 2, NIO officially announced that the Champion Edition models will be unveiled on July 4.
Just a day after the teaser, multiple Champion Edition vehicles were spotted in transit. Spy shots reveal that the design updates on these models align closely with prior expectations. Now, we’re able to see more fine details through these real-life images.

The models captured this time are the ET5 and EC6 Champion Editions, both featuring a matte Moonlight Silver paint finish. The front bumpers have sharper, more muscular lines, echoing the design language of the flagship ET9. The most noticeable exterior update is the new multi-spoke wheel design, paired with fluorescent-colored brake calipers that emphasize the car’s sporty character.
As commemorative editions, these cars also feature a “Champion Edition” matte-finish badge on the rear and matte window trim, distinguishing them from the standard versions.

NIO’s teaser posters from yesterday also hinted at a bold new interior color accent — fluorescent green.
The Champion Edition interiors are extensively adorned with fluorescent green elements, emphasizing their performance pedigree. These include the seat belts, stitching on the seats and steering wheel, and more. A notable detail is the use of Alcantara upholstery on the seats, with a “Champion Edition” insignia on the seatbacks, and the number “2015” in fluorescent green, highlighting the founding year of NIO.

The Champion Edition lineup includes three models: EC6, ET5, and ET5T. Unfortunately, the ET5T did not appear in this batch of spy shots. Stay tuned for the official unveiling tomorrow night (July 4 at 20:00 CST).
In addition to design and interior upgrades, the new models are also expected to receive improvements in charging, handling, and performance to further enhance their racing DNA. For reference, the current pricing for the three models is as follows:
- EC6 starts at RMB 288,000 ($40,320) after BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service),
- ET5/ET5T start at RMB 228,000 ($31,920) after BaaS.
The Champion Edition pricing may see some adjustments to reflect the new features.
