Onvo L90 Self-Inspection Video Released: Hundreds of New Vehicles Ready for Delivery

NIO factory independently develops the “TianTan” AI self-inspection system, automatically detecting over 1,000 functions in 3 minutes.

Today, Onvo President Shen Fei shared a video on social media. In the video, the Onvo L90 is seen running a self-inspection program at the NIO factory.

This self-inspection program is powered by NIO’s independently developed “TianTan” AI Full Vehicle Self-Inspection System. After the vehicle rolls off the production line, this system can automatically check more than 1,000 functions within 3 minutes. The entire process requires no external devices or human intervention—relying solely on the vehicle’s own hardware, software, and AI capabilities. It can even detect areas that are difficult to observe during traditional manual inspections, ensuring that each vehicle leaves the factory in optimal condition.

Previously, NIO Founder and CEO William Li also demonstrated the full self-inspection process on the ET9 model.

The Onvo L90 is a large all-electric SUV from NIO’s Onvo brand, designed to offer a spacious three-row seating experience. The vehicle’s exterior and interior design were revealed earlier, and last Friday, the Onvo L90 underwent a rainy weather crash test to showcase its occupant safety performance in accidents. According to official information, the first batch of Onvo L90 vehicles has already been shipped to dealerships across the country, and static displays will open on July 10.

At present, the only model from NIO’s Onvo brand on sale is the Onvo L60. In June, Onvo delivered 6,400 vehicles, marking its highest monthly sales of the year so far. Cumulatively, the Onvo brand has delivered over 50,000 vehicles, securing a top-three position in the RMB 200,000–300,000 ($27,000–$41,000) pure electric SUV segment.

Additionally, William Li revealed that the starting price of the Onvo L90 will be below 300,000 RMB ($41,000). Based on what has been revealed about the Onvo L90, this price point is expected to create significant competitive pressure for rivals such as the Li Auto L8, AITO M8, and Deepal S09.
