XPeng G7 Begins First Batch of Deliveries, 60–70% Are Trade-Ins or Upgrades

Weekend test drives of the XPeng G7 saw a small surge, also boosting interest in the P7+ and G6.

Today, XPeng Motors officially commenced the first batch of customer deliveries for the G7, with XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng personally attending the vehicle delivery center to hand over the new cars to customers.

The XPeng G7 was officially launched on the evening of July 3, with a price range of 195,800–225,800 yuan ($26,900–$31,100). According to official data, the car received over 10,000 confirmed orders within just nine minutes of launch, making it another blockbuster in the 2025 new energy vehicle (NEV) market.

According to the “72Hr Order Report of XPeng G7” published by CarFans, the G7 launch brought a fresh wave of customer traffic to XPeng’s sales outlets. Each store saw an additional 35–40 new confirmed orders, with store inflow rising by 50%, which also boosted interest in the P7+ and G6 models.

Looking at the user profile of G7 buyers, most customers are between 25 and 35 years old, with men accounting for 70–80% of buyers. The majority are family customers, typically young couples visiting the showroom together. Male buyers, in particular, value the computing power and features promoted by the manufacturer. Among them, the 702 Ultra version accounts for about 50% of orders.

When comparing competing models, half of the customers who considered the G7 also looked at the Model Y and the YU7. However, after the YU7’s pricing was announced, creating a clear price gap, the overlap in consideration noticeably decreased.

According to CarFans’ survey data, the G7’s final price was lower than expected, and orders have been heavily concentrated in first- and second-tier cities, with lead generation reaching record highs.
