ONVO L90 Full-Lineup Range Revealed, Hidden Color Options Unveiled

The ONVO L90 will be offered in three trims: Pro, Max, and Ultra.

Today, a netizen shared what appears to be an internal spec sheet for the six-seat version of the ONVO L90, revealing detailed information on range and energy consumption.

According to the in-car system’s parameters, the ONVO L90 will be available in three trims: Pro, Max, and Ultra. Each version offers different range and efficiency figures depending on whether it’s equipped with the 60kWh or 85kWh battery pack. Here are the details:

Pro RWD:

  • 60kWh battery: CLTC range 425–450km; energy consumption 14.6–15.5kWh/100km
  • 85kWh battery: CLTC range 575–605km; energy consumption 14.5–15.3kWh/100km

Max RWD (with air suspension):

  • 60kWh battery: CLTC range 425–440km; energy consumption 14.9–15.5kWh/100km
  • 85kWh battery: CLTC range 575–600km; energy consumption 14.6–15.3kWh/100km

Ultra AWD (with air suspension):

  • 60kWh battery: CLTC range 410–425km; energy consumption 15.5–15.9kWh/100km
  • 85kWh battery: CLTC range 550–570km; energy consumption 15.4–15.9kWh/100km

According to information previously submitted to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the ONVO L90 will indeed come with two battery configurations: 60.6kWh and 85.1kWh.

The 60.6kWh battery is expected to provide a CLTC range of around 410–425km, while the 85.1kWh version offers 550–570km. These figures align closely with the newly leaked specs, though slight differences exist.

According to ONVO product head Yu Bin, all L90 trims will come standard with the 85kWh battery pack. The 60kWh version is reportedly being introduced to further lower the purchase threshold—especially for users with short-range, urban commuting needs. Based on the announced starting price of RMB 279,900 ($39,200), or RMB 193,900 ($27,100) with BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service), the final retail price could drop even further upon official launch.

Interestingly, the 60.6kWh battery is the same as that used in the ONVO L60, suggesting the battery packs may be interchangeable. This would enhance compatibility within NIO’s battery-swap network, allowing users to temporarily upgrade to a larger battery for long-distance trips.

Another leaked configuration sheet hints at two new exterior colors beyond the five officially announced ones. These undisclosed “hidden” colors are expected to be revealed on launch day.

This afternoon, auto blogger @电动兄弟 shared real-life images of two ONVO L90 vehicles in brand-new colors: one a deep red and the other a dark blue—both giving off a more understated and premium look. These likely correspond to the hidden color options.

According to the official plan, the ONVO L90 will launch at the end of July and begin deliveries on August 1. Whether it can become a breakout success in the large electric SUV segment by leveraging its battery-tier strategy and NIO’s swap ecosystem remains to be seen.
