BYD has cumulatively invested over RMB 14 billion in R&D funding in the new energy commercial vehicle sector and boasts an R&D team of more than 7,000 professionals.
On September 15, BYD officially launched its third-generation pure electric bus platform—the e-Bus Platform 3.0—and introduced the first model, the C11, built on this platform.
The e-Bus Platform 3.0 adopts the world’s first mass-produced system-wide 1000V high-voltage architecture, upgrading the drive, charging, power distribution, air conditioning, and other systems to the 1000V voltage platform.

Additionally, the platform is equipped with a 1500V silicon carbide power chip and introduces the industry’s first 1000V electric drive axle for buses. Combined with a seven-in-one multi-heat source coupled thermal management system, the overall energy consumption of the vehicle is reduced by up to 18%, and its range in low-temperature environments of -15°C can be increased by 50-80 kilometers.

Safety performance is a core highlight of the e-Bus Platform 3.0. The platform utilizes the world’s first Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) technology for buses, deeply integrating the industry’s thinnest bus-dedicated Blade Battery with the chassis frame.
In terms of intelligence, the platform is equipped with the bus-specific Yunjian-A system and a Driver Disability Assistance System 2.0. In the event of a driver emergency, passengers can use the one-touch stop button on the dashboard to safely bring the vehicle to an automatic stop.

At this launch event, the first model based on the e-Bus Platform 3.0, the C11, made its official debut.
The C11 offers five battery pack options: 184 kWh, 257 kWh, 311 kWh, 425 kWh, and 593 kWh, providing a driving range between 220 km and 730 km. The vehicle features a 12-way adjustable driver’s seat, wireless smartphone charging, remote air conditioning control, and the industry’s widest 1000mm emergency door, which requires only 20N of force to open, significantly improving emergency evacuation efficiency.

BYD has been deeply engaged in the new energy commercial vehicle sector for 17 years, having cumulatively invested over RMB 14 billion in R&D and assembled a research and development team of more than 7,000 people.
To date, BYD’s commercial vehicles have been the export champion for new energy buses for two consecutive years, with products distributed across six continents, more than 70 countries and regions, and over 400 cities worldwide.
