On launch day, the Li Auto i6 was simultaneously displayed in dealerships nationwide and made available for test drives, with the first batch of customer deliveries scheduled for September 27.
On September 26, Li Auto has officially launched its new five-seat pure electric SUV, the Li Auto i6, with a starting price of RMB 249,800 ($35,000).
The model follows the company’s “one price, one configuration” strategy introduced with the Li Auto ONE, offering a single trim. First deliveries are scheduled to begin tomorrow.
In terms of exterior design, the i6 inherits the styling language of the larger Li Auto i8, featuring an integrated “shark-like” silhouette with minimalist lines and hidden door handles that help improve aerodynamics and energy efficiency. The SUV comes in five color options—Black Warrior, Alien Silver, Grey Shark, Cloud Yellow, and Pearl White—and buyers can also opt for co-branded graffiti decals.

The vehicle measures 4,950 x 1,935 x 1,655 mm, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase. Thanks to its low center of gravity and short overhangs, the interior offers 3.3 meters of usable longitudinal space.
Inside, the front cabin is equipped with a 16.8-inch head-up display and dual 3K screens powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8295P chipset. The system runs Li Auto’s in-house AI assistant, MindGPT, which supports dialect-based voice interactions and task execution.
Continuing the “home on wheels” concept, the i6 comes with a suite of comfort features including an 8.8-liter dual-mode refrigerator, a 21.4-inch 3K rear entertainment display, a platinum-grade audio system with Dolby 7.3.4 surround sound, and rear privacy shades.

The Li Auto i6 offers multiple in-cabin usage scenarios to enhance passenger comfort. In “Single Bed Mode,” the front seats recline fully to connect seamlessly with the second-row seats, creating a flat, bed-like surface.
With the “i-Space” feature, side window privacy shades open while passengers can access any external camera feed through the rear entertainment display, allowing real-time monitoring of the surroundings.
Beyond passenger comfort, the i6 also emphasizes personalized storage solutions. The SUV comes standard with a front trunk capable of holding a backpack and a standard carry-on suitcase, while the rear trunk can accommodate three 28-inch suitcases plus one 20-inch suitcase.
For performance, the i6 is available in rear-wheel-drive single-motor and all-wheel-drive dual-motor variants, delivering maximum outputs of 250 kW and 400 kW respectively. All versions use Li Auto’s self-developed silicon carbide motors, with combined energy consumption as low as 13.6 kWh per 100 km.

On the intelligent driving side, the SUV comes standard with the AD Max advanced driver-assistance system powered by Li Auto’s VLA driver large model, along with the MindGPT assistant.
The i6 debuts full-speed AEB (automatic emergency braking) and AES (automatic emergency steering), and includes lidar as standard, along with enhanced active and passive safety features.

Battery and charging performance are another focus. Every i6 is fitted with an 87.3 kWh 5C lithium iron phosphate pack, offering up to 720 km of range under CLTC conditions. With peak charging power of 500 kW, the vehicle can recover 500 km of range in just 10 minutes.
Even at low battery levels, the i6 maintains highway cruising speeds of 120 km/h and supports uphill driving and garage access. The battery and electric drivetrain come with an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty.
To ease charging concerns, Li Auto has built more than 3,300 proprietary ultra-fast charging stations with over 18,000 charging piles nationwide. More than 1,000 of these are located along highways, covering China’s “nine vertical, nine horizontal” national trunk road network.
