Xpeng’s MONA M03 Hits 180,000 Deliveries in 13 Months

Compared with the 150,000-unit milestone announced in late July, the MONA M03 added 30,000 deliveries in just over two months.

On September 28, Xpeng Motors announced that cumulative deliveries of its MONA M03 have exceeded 180,000 units. Since its market debut in August 2024, the model has maintained monthly deliveries of over 10,000 units for 13 consecutive months, making it the top-selling A-segment pure electric sedan.

Compared with the 150,000-unit milestone announced in late July, the model added another 30,000 units in just over two months.

The MONA M03 launched on August 27, 2024 with three initial trims priced between RMB 119,800 and RMB 155,800 ($16,800–$21,800), targeting the RMB 150,000 ($21,000) smart EV segment.

Orders for M03 surpassed 10,000 within 52 minutes of launch and reached 30,000 in 48 hours, quickly establishing the model as Xpeng’s core product in the entry-level NEV market.

In May this year, Xpeng added four new variants to the MONA M03 lineup: Long Range Max, Ultra Long Range Max, Long Range Plus, and Ultra Long Range Plus, offering CLTC ranges of 502 km, 515 km, 600 km, and 620 km respectively. Official guide prices range from RMB 119,800 to 139,800 ($16,800–$19,600).

On the hardware side, the MONA M03 Max series is equipped with Xpeng’s in-house “Turing AI System” platform, powered by two Orin-X chips delivering a combined computing capacity of 508 TOPS.

Orders for the refreshed M03 hit 12,566 units within the first hour of launch, surpassing the same period last year, with Max trims accounting for 83% of the volume.

In terms of driving experience, the MONA M03 Max introduces a “human-AI co-pilot” concept. During NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot) operation, the system does not disengage when the driver intervenes, nor does the AI attempt to forcibly reclaim steering control.

This design enables seamless coordination between driver and AI, effectively addressing control handover conflicts often seen when traditional ADAS systems encounter edge scenarios.

As Xpeng’s first volume-oriented “AI-driven electric coupe,” the M03 is expected to underpin the company’s second growth curve.

With its expanding delivery scale, competitive pricing, and advanced intelligent features in the entry-level EV segment, it is intensifying pressure on rivals such as the Leapmotor B01 and BYD Qin L.
