The explosive growth of the MONA M03 marks a strategic turning point for XPeng. Official data shows that in September 2024, XPeng’s monthly deliveries surpassed 20,000 for the first time, with the MONA M03 contributing over half. By Q2 2025, XPeng has ranked among the top three new energy vehicle brands in deliveries for three consecutive months. The MONA M03 continues to lead the pure electric A-class sedan segment for 10 consecutive months with over 10,000 deliveries per month for 10 consecutive months.
Notably, due to demand far exceeding expectations, XPeng launched five rounds of capacity expansion within three months. The Zhaoqing factory improved manufacturing efficiency through AI optimization, increasing production capacity by 30%-40% between November and December.
While driving brand sales, the M03 has also become XPeng’s financial engine, contributing to a 330.8% year-on-year growth in deliveries in Q1 2025, pushing the gross margin to a historic high of 15.6%, and narrowing losses to RMB 660 million ($92 million).
With 150,000 MONA M03 units on the road, the real-world data collected will feed back into the intelligent driving models, further strengthening XPeng’s moat in the AI era.
