MAEXTRO S800 Hits 10,000-Unit Milestone in 200 Days

The MAEXTRO S800 ranked first in sales of luxury sedans priced above 800,000 yuan for three consecutive months (September to November).

Today, the premium brand MAEXTRO, jointly created by Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC) and Huawei, celebrated the rollout of the 10,000th unit of its first model, the S800. Since its market launch on May 30 this year, it has taken only about 200 days to reach this mass-production milestone.

Notably, the MAEXTRO S800 has demonstrated strong market performance, securing over 18,000 firm orders within 175 days of its launch. The brand has revealed that the model’s average transaction price is around 900,000 yuan.

Data shows that since commencing large-scale deliveries in mid-August this year, the MAEXTRO S800 has consistently topped the sales charts for luxury sedans priced above 800,000 yuan for three consecutive months (September to November). Its sales have shown a stepwise increase, with 1,896 units sold in September, 1,970 units in October, and 2,205 units in November.

Official data indicates that within 175 days of launch, the model amassed over 18,000 firm orders with an average transaction price of approximately 900,000 yuan. Its primary customer segment is high-net-worth males aged 40-50, a significant portion of whom were former owners of brands like Rolls-Royce, Maybach, and Porsche. This success has effectively breached the long-standing market dominance of Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi (BBA).

At the 10,000th unit rollout ceremony, Richard Yu also disclosed that the MAEXTRO S800’s monthly production capacity had already exceeded 2,000 units. The factory is continuously ramping up capacity, with December’s output expected to surpass 4,000 units. He assured that customers who place a locked-in order by December 31 can expect to receive their vehicles before the Chinese New Year.

The 10,000th unit milestone is just the beginning. According to internal plans, the MAEXTRO brand will launch SUV and MPV models next year. Each will offer both standard and long-wheelbase variants. Coupled with a high-end customized version of the S800, a total of six new models are set to hit the market within the year.

CICC (China International Capital Corporation) predicts that MAEXTRO has the potential to capture a 20% share in the market segment for vehicles priced above 600,000 yuan, translating to an annual sales volume of 80,000 to 100,000 units. Based on an average price of 900,000 yuan, this could contribute approximately 90 billion yuan in revenue to JAC.
