Since its launch, the XPeng G6 has maintained a leading position in range and energy efficiency among its peers.

The newly released G6 EREV core competitiveness remains its breakthrough in range. The vehicle combines a 60L fuel tank with a 55.8kWh battery pack, achieving a CLTC combined range of 1,704 km and a CLTC pure electric range of 430 km. The pure electric mode alone can satisfy a full week of daily commuting without charging.

Additionally, the new model is the only vehicle in the RMB 200,000 class to feature 800V architecture and 5C ultra-fast charging as standard across all trims. It can add up to 314 km of range in 12 minutes (10%-80% SOC), and with full-domain heat pump technology, its winter range retention rate is expected to reach 85%.

In terms of energy consumption, official data shows the new vehicle achieves a CLTC comprehensive energy consumption of 13.9 kWh per 100 km, with a driving cost of less than RMB 0.04 per kilometer. Developed in partnership with Castrol, the Ultra ER-specific engine oil requires replacement only once every approximately 20,000 km on average.

As one of the first Chinese models to achieve advanced intelligent driving in 200+ cities, the upgraded G6 Ultra EREV once again brings the second-generation VLA to the RMB 200,000 market. The vehicle features an intelligent driving platform with effective computing power of up to 2,250 TOPS—the highest level among currently mass-produced vehicles globally.

The Max trim is equipped with one Turing chip for intelligent driving. The Ultra SE trim features two Turing chips for intelligent driving. The Ultra trim is equipped with three Turing chips—two for intelligent driving and one for the intelligent cockpit—making it the intelligent vehicle with the highest computing power among mass-produced models.

According to the rollout schedule, Ultra and Ultra SE trims will receive the full second-generation VLA push in April 2026; in the second half of 2026, all Max versions will receive a distilled version of the second-generation VLA.

To supplement the intelligent features data, XPeng has pushed 29 OTA updates to the G6 over three years, including 287 major feature updates and thousands of experience optimization functions.

For handling, the new model features the Tai Chi AI chassis, employing a front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension combination, with DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) as standard. This system uses AI algorithms to adjust suspension stiffness in real-time based on road conditions, ensuring high-speed cornering stability while maintaining bump absorption capability, balancing both handling and comfort.

At the launch event, XPeng demonstrated the G6 EREV safety capabilities. In a tire blowout test at 180 km/h, the vehicle maintained body stability under extreme blowout conditions. Its AEB system can achieve full stops at 130 km/h, and even on low-grip surfaces such as ice and snow, the AES function can effectively intervene.
