Geely Galaxy announced on July 21 that its upcoming Galaxy Cruiser 700 SUV will make its global debut on July 24 in Hangzhou, China.
The new model will then arrive in Milan, Italy, on July 26, where it will participate in overseas touring events jointly organized with China Tourism and Culture initiatives.

Positioned as an “AI all-terrain hardcore SUV,” the Galaxy Cruiser 700 adopts the increasingly popular boxy SUV design language.
The vehicle is equipped with a three-motor all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid system, delivering a combined output of 830 kW (1,129 hp). Geely claims the model achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 392 Ps/T.
According to previously released information from Geely, the Galaxy Cruiser 700’s power-to-weight ratio ranks first among mass-produced off-road vehicles globally.
Meanwhile, its combined system output reaches the highest level among production plug-in hybrid off-road models.

For comparison, the BYD Yangwang U8 has a power-to-weight ratio of 333 Ps/T, while the Land Rover Defender OCTA stands at 246 Ps/T.
The model is also currently the only mass-produced plug-in hybrid vehicle globally equipped with a three-motor all-wheel-drive system and mechanical differential locks.
Before its official debut, the Galaxy Cruiser 700 was included in China’s MIIT vehicle filing database earlier this month.
According to regulatory filings, the SUV will be available in three plug-in hybrid variants. It measures 5,085 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width and has a 2,900 mm wheelbase.
Depending on configuration, vehicle height is available in three versions: 1,895 mm, 1,912 mm and 1,925 mm.
The vehicle will offer two powertrain options. The 2.0T engine version is positioned as an off-road-focused model, with a maximum engine output of 160 kW.

The 1.5T engine version is positioned as a multi-purpose passenger vehicle, producing up to 120 kW.
All three variants are equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by CATL, offering pure-electric driving ranges of 165 km, 170 km and 185 km, respectively.
Intelligent technology and off-road capability are among the key focuses of the Galaxy Cruiser 700.
The vehicle is built on Geely’s dedicated new energy off-road architecture, featuring an integrated ladder-frame body structure and the latest EEA 4.0 electronic and electrical architecture.
The chassis is equipped with Geely’s self-developed GVMC dynamic control system and AI intelligent all-wheel-drive technology, enabling functions such as crab walking and tank turns.
Previously released interior images show that the vehicle features a floating central display, a passenger-side information screen, physical drive mode controls and headrest-mounted speakers.

The new energy off-road SUV segment, where the Galaxy Cruiser 700 competes, has become a new battleground for Chinese automakers in recent years.
From BYD’s Yangwang U8 and Fangchengbao Bao 8 to GWM’s Tank 300 and Geely’s Galaxy Cruiser series, more automakers are entering the segment with vehicles combining electrified powertrains and off-road performance, seeking growth opportunities in emerging categories.
Geely Galaxy’s sales performance has recently shown signs of recovery.
Data shows that the Galaxy brand delivered 108,206 vehicles in June, up 20% year on year, ending a five-month streak of annual sales declines.
However, Galaxy’s cumulative sales during the first half of 2026 stood at 519,793 units, still down 5.22% year on year.
With products such as the Galaxy Crusier 700 entering the market, Geely aims to further expand the Galaxy brand’s product portfolio and seek new growth opportunities in an increasingly competitive new energy vehicle market.
