The XPeng MONA M03 MAX officially premiered this afternoon. The automaker announced that display models will arrive at nationwide showrooms starting May 21, with official sales launching in late May.

At the event, XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng highlighted enhancements to the MAX variant’s exterior, interior, and range:
- Exterior: Three new paint options – Stellar Twilight Purple (deep purple), Misty Moon Grey (light gray), and Starry Rain Green (cyan) – paired with a matching Dawn Purple interior. The MAX adds 18-inch low-drag wheels or optional 19-inch blackened sport wheels, plus a signature blue ADAS indicator light on the front fascia.
- Interior: Front seats now feature ventilation, heating, memory, and welcome functions, with a three-airbag lumbar support system. The long-anticipated vehicle-to-load (V2L) power export capability is finally included.
- Intelligence: Equipped with XPeng’s Turing AI Driving System and the “full-powered” Xmart OS Tianji, marking a comprehensive upgrade in autonomous driving and interactive experiences.
- Range: The 580km variant receives a free upgrade to 600km range, while a new 502km base model joins the lineup. A higher-tier Plus range variant will be revealed at launch.

As a cornerstone of XPeng’s youth-oriented strategy, the MONA series has resonated strongly with Gen Z buyers – 90% of owners are born post-1990. The MONA M03 has dominated China’s A-segment pure electric sedan sales for eight consecutive months.
We are watching closely to see if the MAX variant’s premium features can propel XPeng’s sales to new heights.
