The update centers on features designed for everyday user scenarios. A new battery pre-heating function enables the vehicle to warm the battery pack before reaching a charging station, significantly improving fast-charging efficiency — a capability that is particularly critical as Europe enters the winter season.

Additional updates include a dedicated media panel for the front passenger seat, a new cleaning mode, and expanded multi-language support. French and Portuguese have been newly added, helping widen coverage across European user groups.

Users also gain access to upgraded digital side-mirror functionality, a refreshed calendar app, optimized driver-assistance behavior, and additional experience refinements targeted at practical use cases.

Firefly launched its Aster smart-interaction platform on August 8 with version 1.1.0, followed by the rollout of version 1.2.0 to European and Chinese markets in September.

The 1.2.0 Europe release introduced wireless Apple CarPlay, Rear Collision Warning (RCW), and automatic disabling of certain assistance functions in severe rain conditions.

The 1.2.0 China version delivered 36 updates, spanning driver assistance, cabin interaction, the Lumo voice assistant, and full-vehicle experience enhancements including Smart Parking, personalized driving profiles, improved energy-consumption displays, and expanded app-based vehicle control.

Broadly, version 1.2.0 focused on enhancing safety and convenience, while version 1.3.0 prioritizes fast-charging efficiency, passenger interaction, and multi-language expansion. The progression reflects continuous evolution rather than incremental stacking.

From 1.1.0 to 1.3.0, Firefly has been iterating its smart-cabin and driver-assistance platform at a high frequency. With 1.3.0 launching first in Europe, the domestic rollout is expected to follow.
