The facelifted model is said to bring multiple upgrades, with the starting price reportedly rising by RMB 20,000 ($2,800), from the current RMB 215,900 ($30,226) to RMB 235,900 ($33,026).
On December 17, Xiaomi’s SU7 facelift is rumored to launch in the second quarter of 2026, according to automotive blogger Han Lu, writing on Weibo.

The facelifted model is said to bring multiple upgrades, with the starting price reportedly rising by RMB 20,000 ($2,800), from the current RMB 215,900 ($30,226) to RMB 235,900 ($33,026).
Sources indicate that the most notable changes in the facelifted SU7 could focus on its electrical architecture.
The currently sold SU7 Standard and Pro variants use a 400 V architecture, which is not particularly competitive among similarly priced new energy vehicles. The upcoming update may address this shortcoming.

On the assisted-driving front, Xiaomi has already rolled out end-to-end assisted driving across the entire current SU7 lineup. The facelifted model is widely expected to further optimize this capability on top of the existing system.
The powertrain lineup is likely to remain largely unchanged. The Standard and Pro versions are expected to continue with a rear-wheel-drive single-motor setup paired with lithium iron phosphate batteries. The Pro variant’s driving range is expected to exceed 850 km.
The range-topping Max version is expected to retain its dual-motor configuration, delivering 0–100 km/h acceleration in 2.78 seconds.
It is likely to continue using a 101 kWh Qilin ternary lithium battery, with incremental upgrades to the smart cockpit and ecosystem integration.
Market reactions to the reported price increase have been mixed. Some observers believe the information resembles pre-launch expectation management, with final pricing potentially balanced through configuration adjustments.
Others point out that a recent rebound in battery-grade lithium carbonate prices, combined with higher motor and electronic component costs, could genuinely push up vehicle manufacturing costs.
This is not the first time the Xiaomi SU7 has faced price hike rumors. On November 11, market chatter suggested a facelift with a RMB 9,900 ($1,386) price increase alongside added features, which was later denied by Xiaomi Auto.

On the product side, media reports earlier this month revealed Xiaomi’s upcoming vehicle roadmap, including a family-oriented flagship SUV YU9, a high-performance SUV YU7 GT, and an extended-wheelbase luxury sedan SU7 L.
China Passenger Car Association data show that Xiaomi Auto recorded retail sales of 46,249 vehicles in November, with the SU7 accounting for 12,520 units.
By the end of November, cumulative SU7 sales for the year had reached 247,041 units.
